Need Opinions on Scanner.....

I am looking at a scanner that will do 35mm slides... I would like a flatbed one so I could use it for other things (so those dedicated slide / film readers are out).

Here is what I have been looking at:

Epson 1650 Photo Scanner - Does this COME with the 35mm Slide Adaptor? I know it says 35mm film. Also any one scan slides with this one?

HP 5470 - This one does come with the Transparency adaptor but I saw a couple reviews that it does not work well. Anyone have experience with this?

OR

Please suggest another scanner for me to look at....

Thanks!!

My step Dad has one of the 1650 Photo scanneers and it works great for slides. He has done over 100 slides with is and with great results. I have a older Epson scanner and they have always made good scanners. I think the slides fit into the same place as the film strips on that scanner. Go for it I am pretty sure you can't beat it for the price.
