Need Opinions on O/C'ing an Opty 165 w/ my current hardware

Was going to purchase an Opty 165 soon and was wondering what I can expect in terms of stability (O/C results aside). Just basically looking for general input on what my hardware would stay stable with....

Current Setup:

Antec SLK3700BQE - Plenty of cooling, 5 120mm fans
Seasonic Super Silencer 460w (this is what worries me the most... SINGLE +12v @ 25a)
A8N-SLI Premium ( would maybe go DFI Ultra-D if the passive chipset can't hold up to high HTT)
2x1GB OCZ Platinum (the 2-3-2-5 stuff, don't care for OC on the RAM, if it runs stock I'm fine)
Samsung SP2004C 200GB SATA-II
Samsung IDE SP1614N 160GB (will probably go before long, just keeping it for now for data backup)
PNY 6600GT PCI-E (obviously PCI-E, but planned to swap to a 7800GT in a few weeks)
Audigy2 @ ZS
Leadtek TV2000XP Deluxe TV Tuner

My Goals:

2.2ghz at least on the CPU. 2.4 at low volts and I would be super happy.

What do you guys think? Would the Seasonic hold up once I added the 7800GT? Also do you guys think the A8N-SLI Premium is capable of the 2.4ghz OC on the Opteron 165?

Thanks for your input!

sry for hijacking this thread, but could anyone explain briefly to me if the Opterons do have cool n quiet? Or how do they call it and is it significantly different to c´n´q or basically the same? iam a lil bit confizzled bout that question. thx.

hm, did a goodle search and i think they call it Optimized Power Management (OPM). Is that correct and is it any "better" than c´n`q?

ok, i think i got it now. Its called PowerNow! with OPM and basically the same, except for the new name. Thx AMD for confusing the noobs (and me:]) with renaming the old stuff -.-

Easy seasonic unrates thier PSUs. That's like a 600W enermax

So the single rail won't do any harm? I figured the amperage should be ok, but the second rail was what I was worried about... I'm a PSU noob.

you should be able to do 2.4 GHz fine.. these opterons OC really well on low volts..

mine can do 2.5 GHz at 1.31V

They only oc well if you have the good revision. He may have the bad revision, in which case 2.2 would be awfully optimistic...

You may want to read this thread though.. I forgot you are getting a 24 pin..you seasonic is 20...

My Seasonic is the new revision. It has 24-pin native and PCI-E and SATA plugs.

From the Seasonic page.... (and yes I know mine is the new revision 😛)

SEPT 2004: The latest revisions of the 400W and 460W models are now All-in-One: PCI Express ready, with both ATX12V v2.0 and EPS12V compatibility. The new version PSUs are useful with high-end desktop PCs as well as servers or professional multi-processor workstations. The new features include a 24-pin main ATX connector, 4-pin as well as 8-pin AUX12V connectors, and built-in connectors for Serial-ATA. For added versatility, a 24-to-20 pin adapter is included.
