I have a few videos on my mini-DV camcorder that I want to edit and burn on my PC. I am, however, stuck as to which software package to use. A friend of mine who is a film editor by profession will lend (yes lend, only for a short period ) me a copy of just about any software on the market, I just don't know which to choose!
The one that came with my FireWire card, MGI VideoWave, is too simplistic and not powerful enough. I tried a trial version of Adobe Premiere 6 and it was WAY over my head, too far advanced that I couldn't get a single thing done.
Is there anything in between? A software package that is powerful but does not, I guess, let me do EVERYTHING? Anyone?
