I've been waiting for the day opticals can catch up to the Boomslang's speed and precision, and maybe the MX500 is it, but from specs it's still not quite there?

I have the mx700 which is the same mouse and it has no problems with games. The batteries they ship with it are rechargeable. When I am through using it I just put the whole mouse in a recharger. The only problem is with the mouse software. Before I play a game I have to disable the mouse center to use the scroll wheel. Apparently this is a known issue with Logitech and I found the fix on their website. This is the most comfortable mouse I ever used.

Does your MX700 feel pretty heavy?

Actually I think it has, with 8000 scans a second (which means no skipping even with super fast movements) and 800dpi it`s awesome for gaming, btw team it up with a decent mouse pad like Ratpad or Everglide Giganta etc and you will have a potent gaming mouse, plus Logitech reliability.Having used an optical for over a year now,no way could I go back to ball type mouse ,even if it`s the best out there.
🙂
Hrm, but that's it. The Boomslang has 2000dpi vs the Logitech's 800dpi
