I have always done computer related work on a case by case basis. I will now be offering my services to some of the companies I do work for through a retainer contract. This is a win/win situation. I get a steady means of income and the customers get my services at a discount due to the flat-rate or allocated time.
Work involves: (but not limited to)
* Networking
* General PC & printer maintenance
* Phone support
* On an off site work
* Software tutoring
* Citrix & RazorsEdge maintenance
* Bi-weekly backups
* Software and hardware purchase recommendations
I will only be trying this with one of my smaller customers (only 4 PC's). If this works out, then I will expand it to the other ones. I just want to get my feet wet and see what structure works best.
How would you suggest I structure this "retainer?" (based on 3 and 6 month blocks)
