Inputs: 2 component video (Y, Pb, Pr), 1 composite video, 1 S-video, 6 audio (1 mini), 1 RGB/VGA/PC, 2 DVI-HDCP

The most you should need is a simple HDMI->DVI cable (if you wanted to use any devices that output HDMI), even protected content should work fine since the DVI inputs are HDCP compliant. (Assuming I was looking at the specs for the correct TV :p)

Suppose to be pretty good. It doesn't have HDMI but it does support HDCP which is what's important. Might want to read up on it on AVSForum first just to be sure.

The LVM-37W1?

It has DVI/HDCP which is all you need. HDMI is just DVI with the audio signal also. DVI is compatible with HDMI devices, you just get the video only (might need an adapter).

No idea how good that TV is otherwise.

DVi --> DVDI HDCP is flawless on this model but HDMI to DVI HDCP is a little buggy (due to low quality HDMI players more than the TV). Basically, to get a HDMI/DVI HDCP handshake to work you have to power on the TV first and THEN power on the player. You can also power cycle the HDMI player if you get a HDCP error.

It's only $116.55 a month to pay it off in 11 months. My Student Loan repayment is more than that. ;)

Yeah, that's a great sale...I wanted a new set, but something that wasn't too nice since I'll only be around here for another year or so...one of my local BB's had a 37" 1080p open box for 1399, you could get 20% off of that too! (I managed to pick up a Westy 32w6 for $837.xx with tax...looks okay thus far.)

You paged?

I think the others have already sufficient covered this topic.

I bought my Westinghouse 32" LCD HDTV for $809 last year. Although it has DVI, I bought an HDMI to DVI cable, connected it to my cable HD DVR and it works great. Best bang for your buck.

It's possible, but I know the guys there pretty well (ran a promotion there) so I probably could've gotten the price anyway. I just decided that I'd rather have a tuner in my set and I wouldn't utilize the 1080p very often, so I saved myself some cash.

How does the color quality compare between an LCD TV and a CRT? The videophiles out there seem to think that CRT's still look better.
