At my work we are selling these 50pk spindle TDK brand CDR's for $14.99 and i bought 6 spindles and used my 10% discount and an additional 5% discount which made the deal pretty sweet. But I had a question concerning the quality of it since I put on hold 4 more spindles to buy if they were good. Anyways, I ran CDRIndent 1.62 on one of them and it came up:

ATIP: 97m 15s 12f
Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Recording layer: DYE (Long Strategy; e.g. Cyanine, Azo, Etc.)
Media Type: CD-Recordable
Nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 74f / LBA: 359849)
Recording Speeds: min/max Unknown

are these good? if so i am buying the rest and use it to record my Anime into them if not then I will skip buying the rest and maybe even return a few spindles.

I thought TDK used CMC magnetics because i have some from Costco and they were from CMC with a Short Strategy Dye. But these Riteks have the Long Strategy Dye which I heard is very good for archiving. Any comments welcome. The sooner the better because i think my ATT@home in the SF Bay Area will be Shutdown after Midnight. Thank you !

I have used about 20 of those TDK cd's and have not had any problems with any of them. They actually worked better in my burner (Aopen 1232pro) than alot of the more expensive media.

TDK oWns... been using them about two years ( around 200-300 CD-Rs) and iv gotten onnly about 3 that were coasters.

the only problem i have had with tdk discs is they seem to have a thicker graphic layer, making the disc a little thicker than normal, which means on occasion they do not go so easily into the slot drive on my laptop.
