Building a new system, have about $1500 budget (exclude monitor)
I am awaiting for AMD to ship Retail T-birds with 266mhz frontside bus, any idea when that will come out?
The system will be used for games mainly and some 3d graphic design (photoshop) and programing (java/c++)
This is what I am thinking about building

Microstar K7T Pro2A (supports 266 FSB)
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz Thunderbird
IBM 75GB 7200 RPM ATA100 (Master)
Maxtor 81.9 GB 5400 RPM ATA (Slave)
Mushkin Rev3 PC133 SDRAM (256mb)
SOUNDBLASTER LIVE! X-GAMER 5.1
PlexWriter 12/10/32A
Pioneer DVD-115 16x DVD kit
Razer Boomslang 2000
BLACK Fong Kai FK-320 Super Mid-Tower ATX
still can't decide which monitor I should get:
ViewSonic EF70
CTX International PR705F
Samsung SyncMaster 700NF
Samsung SyncMaster 950p
MAG Innovision 810FD
ViewSonic GS790

Thanks

No it doesn't....the K7T Pro2A is the Via KT133 chipset, supports 200Mhz FSB and 133Mhz memory bus. You need the Via KT133A to support 266Mhz FSB and 133Mhz memory bus. There are no boards available yet I'm waiting impatiently for the MSi K7T Turbo one though...other than that the system looks great.
Can't really comment on the monitor I haven't used any of those much..

Can I ask you a question what the hell are you going to do with 155gigs of hard drive space?
