Currently I just started playing Korean mmorpg called C9.
My system is Kuma 7750 @ 3.2gig
4gig memory
vista ultimate 64bit
4850 1gig
running at 1680x1050

I can barely run this thing in mid setting with everything off(af and aa off)

What needs to be upgraded to run some future games that is coming out?
Get another 4850 and run crossfire?
get phenom II(so far games I played did not support multi core cpu)

or go different route? intel or nvidia?

I don't have any experience w/ that processor but your video card can certainly stand an upgrade. You can almost get the top of the line of either ATI or Nvidia for under $ 200 right now. In the hot deals, I've seen both the 4890 on sale and a GTX 275 which would both be marked improvements over what you have.

I would personally slap a Phenom II quad-core (or triple core) as first priority. The 4850 may not be top of the line but it is still a capable card. I wouldn't bother upgrading the video card until the next generation has hit the shelves and dropped in price.

There is no point in future proofing. People tried to future proof their PC for Alan Wake and looked what happen.

Just try to leave the house for a few days. That's all I recommend.
