Im interested in two models:

Olympus $179 CND.D-535 3.2 mp with 3x optical zoom.Support xD picture cards who are $60 plus taxes (CND) for a 256 meg

Canon $199 CND.A410 3.2 mp with 3.2x optical zoom.Support SD/multimedia cards who are $50 + taxes (CND) for a 256 meg

These are the only two model i wanna get.I dont want to spend more, because i also have to purchase batteries, charger etc and this kit will cost me an extra $50.

I have two questions:

What is better? XD cards or SD cards?? One have an advantage?

Which of these camera is the most reliable? I dont want it to break in my hand in 1 year.My curretn sony dsc p32 serve me pretty well and still work perfectly.( but i just hate the fact of not having any digital zoom on my cam, so im selling it)

tks in advance if you can help me choose the best camera between these two :)

SD cards have a higher capacity right now and are a bit cheaper.

Have you considered a used S60?

Go w/ Canon

Go w/ SD

Go w/ one that uses AA batts (then get rechargeables)

Go w/ nothing more than a 4mp for your first digicam.

I've got a Canon A520 (4MP) and like it. The only thing I don't like is the flash charge time is a bit long, compared to my wife's coolpix. The A520 (and A510) both use only 2xAA batteries, so it is a bit smaller then last years models.

I got my camera with a 512Meg card and rechargable batteries from Dell during one of their stacked coupon deals for like $175 total.

Oops, didn't see that the 256 was included in the price. If you ever upgraded in the future though, SD goes up higher then XD does.

this guy is sellng his sd500 with an extra batt and a 512 card for 225 us

If you don't need it right away though, just browse, or put up a WTB thread.
