Need Online Photo Album Site Recommendation

MBony

Trying to help a friend get set up with a photo album online. At the moment she has ~150MB of photos (Russia/Europe). I need a site that doesn't require any software to be downloaded. I'd prefer to have bulk load capability and a decent layout. Something like Photobucket or Sacko.com, but w/o the flash and photo distortion. I saw Jalbum and while I really like the layout, it looks like you have to download a client. I searched for 'photo album' before I posted this too.

I don't have time/resources to register a domain and install Gallery/Copermine.

Any suggestions?

i use flickr.com but i dont know how much space they allow total

EDIT

If you change your mind I can show you how to do everything in 10 minutes or less.

I will also iinstall coppermine for you (which does allow batch upload and doesn't require any special software).

MBony,

It was great speaking with you on the phone 🙂

You are the 12th person I have spoken to regarding web hosting in the past 2 weeks.

Good luck with your venture and your friends coppermine site 🙂

Rossman, I may have you help me setup Gallery one day. Whether you like it or not. If it only takes 10 minutes, damn.

Try these 2 :

Pbase

Smugmug

I use pbase, easy as pie. I think it is around $20 ish for 200MB storage for a year.
Don't need software, bulk upload capable. Even better, just upload the zip containing all photos and it will unzip it and put up the pix for ya.

Smugmug is unlimited storage but limited by bandwith per month.

Actually my 10 minutes was in reference to the domain registration and web hosting 🙂

After I called MBony, he reminded me that he got in on the shared AT dedicated web host server ... for $5/mo he gets a resellers account with A LOT of web hosting resources which includes Fantastico. So after he registers a domain, he can host the web site and install coppermine or gallery in about 3 seconds 🙂

I see. I already have a site hosted on 1and1. (I know your opinion about them, so I won't ask, haha.) But have you helped anyone install Gallery through them? I just need to get around to it. I can't imagine it would take that long.

Unfortunately I hate/loathe/despise 1and1 with a passion and have never successfully installed gallery. There are others here who can help you install it (I've seen it done but I have no clue how to).

faenix - I received your PM but cannot reply. Sorry but I will not touch anything associated with 1and1. If you want cheap and good quality go with HostPC.com for $15.98/yr
