need one more port

Hi there,

I've set up a 10/100 home network to connect 5 computers to a DSL router. I'm using a Linksys 5 port 10/100 switch to do this. Unfortunately, the uplink and the last port won't work at the same time. Is there a cheap solution to this problem? I'm thinking of getting a cheap 10 mbit hub and uplinking it to the switch, then uplinking the switch to the router. Will this comprise bandwidth for the two computers hooked into the hub? I don't know what to do and my roommate is very upset that he bought the cable only to find out it won't work. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Cheap 10Mb hub servicing two of the computers should work fine. It'll slow their LAN communicatin, but is fast enough to handle the internet traffic.
