Your a rich dude... 2x 5870s and 1x 480.

Why not just use 10.10 driver if 10.11 wasnt working, or whichever you where useing before then? Seems abit odd is all... Why exactly are the drivers broken? is it a crossfire issue in a certain game that made you swap to a single 480 instead of 2x5870s?

The 480 was meant for an Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 AVCHD editing machine, but it's been taking a long time to complete. Those rigs you see weren't built just yesterday ;)

I only play Unreal Tournament III DM, TDM, and Duel

I disabled x-fire and still had issues. I did try the 10.10 drivers and still got flickering etc. so something is wrong somewhere and i'm just seeing how this card will work.

Did your ATI cards just stop working properly or did you install new drivers?

Curious, because when I upgraded via STEAM to the new drivers, I saw a performance dip in Batman: AA (game I was playing at the time) but I did a uninstall/reinstall straight from AMD site and I was back to the same performance.

Just be glad he doesn't have a 460. Drivers for some odd reason still crash the GF's PC.

Regretting not just getting her the 470 :(

I wonder if SLI is still problematic on the 460s because I was looking forward to that once they got under $100 (GTX 560 launch anyone :D)

I just found it kind of weird that you just up and through in an GTX 480 card in your system when One driver update didn't work. So if Nvidias next driver doesn't work, you putting in a 6970 next? I also found it weird that you had to announce this change on a forum?

that wasn't the point of the thread, i haven't used a NVIDIA card since my mx 200 so i am way out of the loop with the drivers and fan controller; i had no intention to discuss anything else besides a little background information as to such an ignorant question as where do i download drivers..
