Need of a used car quick!

Recently our dodge stratus finally died, after all the stuff we put in to it. Looking for cars, we need a mini van and found a Honda Odyssey '99 with 137k miles for 5995. All leather intr. carfax report showed up as a clean record. I was hoping to get a good amount of miles before this goes out, my budget is real low and other than this, i found a dodge within the same price. I honestly never want to deal with dodge again. Honda odyssey good or bad? from an owners perspective

thnx

watch out for transmission problems - I know that this has been an issue on odysseys specifically. This is a common theme for lots of minivans - they tend to install underrated drivetrains originally for cars and then pinch pennies by not including transmssion coolers. That price seems very good for an odyssey, if it has no problems (been in a crash, salvage title, mechanical problems, etc). Carfax doesn't always tell the whole story, make sure you do due diligence getting the car inspected. I'm a honda fan (except of their automatics - poor refinement and inconsistent reliability) but I think the right dodge products are make good used purchases on a budget. What was the story with the stratus (year, engine, what went wrong)?
