I need to replace the battery on a notebook I just bought, a Dell Latitude Cpi. Now, the battery that's in it says that it's a P/N 3149c and that I should either use that P/N or 53977 as replacments. Now, there are people on eBay who stated that: "Dell Latitude Inspiron battery 75UYF Li-Ion 3800 mAh,
14.8V Part number 75UYF.
This battery was only used 2 times and was new 2 months ago.

This battery can replace (or be an extra battery for those long plane rides)

e any of these batteries

5081P 1691P, 3149C, 53977, 75UYF and 7824Y 2M400 851UY

It is compatible with Dell Latitude models:
CP, CPi, CPi A, CPi C, CPi R, CPt, CPt C, CPt S, CPt V, CPx H, CPx J,
C600, C610, C800,C810 and

Is this true?? I need some help here folks! Will buying the wrong P/N replacment really fry my little notebook? Is this guy telling the truth about the 75UYF's compatability? Thanks for any and all help in advance.

What you need to do Spudd is go to a site that sells laptop batteries and see what they have listed as compatible batteries. OK? That's the best I can think of.
