Need new work phone - verizon

Technically at the moment I have a droidx as a work phone, but it's had trouble with keeping a charge and is obviously pretty old and slow, so I haven't used it in months. Instead I've been mildly using my personal gnex and trying to make work calls at an office I'm rarely at.

Basically I need a phone that can get reception in hell, some of the buildings I work in kill your signal soon as you walk in (hell on gnex battery life) and obviously battery life would be a plus.

Thinking I'll go with a razor maxx hd for big battery, moto in my experience has typically had good radios in them, and the speakers tend to be quite powerful (hate how quiet my gnex can be).


Anything thing else I should consider or something on the horizon? Disappointed no nexus 4, nor any good nokia wp8 phones. However, we are pretty invested in google services so android makes the most sense on that front for me.

If you're able to get a Maxx HD that's what you should get. Right now it's a completely peerless phone. Reception is extremely good as is battery life.

Yeah, Maxx HD sounds like the one to get. It's the true road warrior device.

If battery is the main concern I will also say the Maxx HD is a good choice. I like the Note 2 though for the semi-tablet features with the very nice pen but that usage might not be what you actually need it for.

It's pretty well vocalized by many users that Samsung is not one of the leaders in signal quality/strength. Moto and Nokia own those titles.

Both companies that are bleeding money and probably wont last too. Signal quality depends on how the carrier is in your area though. I dont have any issues with any samsung devices myself.

I work in NYC and my droid razor was horrible on battery life and lte so I had my job get me an iphone5 and so far it's been pretty good on battery and lte. My personal phone is a sgs3 and it too works pretty good.

Yeah kinda knew that going in with the gnex, did figure the lte part would be better but I drop that pretty frequently.


Fair enough, I think I'll get the ball rolling on a Max HD tomorrow.:thumbsup:
