I have the dell n-wireless upgrade for my e1505, so it is not supported by linux.
I need an adapter with very good range, wpa (wpa2 prefered), linux support, and injection capabilities.
It also can't cost a lot- I'm working on a budget of <$50, with less than $40 prefered.
My first choice is expresscard (idk if an expresscard port also supports pcmia, but I'd take that too), then usb. Thanks for any help.

I thought about that, but I'd prefer something removable, to only use in certain circumstances. It is important to be able to not have a registered trace of the card on my system, as I do some technical networking, and may wish to use the card in another system down the line, without swapping out any possible cards it may have.

I want something I can add a hi-gain antenna to. IDK if expresscard versions have that. I read edimax may have what I am looking for- they seem to have a nice usb one. Any better alternatives anyone knows of?

I think that they have a card like this in the same place that they are keeping the Holy Grail.

However tThis PCMCIA has a power amp. and it can take external antenna.

It is Not sold in th USA so buy it here, http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBay...160099172692&indexURL=

As for living traces, file down the MAC number (like they do it with firearm). ;) - :p = :D -
