Basically as the title says, I'm looking for a video card to go with my Dell E521 (yes, really old, lol). I ordered a 7790 Radeon thinking that would be awesome and it does look awesome, however I've been out of the game so long (six years since I've posted here I think) that I didn't realize that it took up two slots (which my case doesn't support). I totally missed the one card takes two slots memo, lol. In any case, I need a video card with reasonable performance, that takes one slot (can't have a huge fan on it that takes two slots either), has dual dvi/vga support, and isn't a huge power hog (under 100w). Even a used suggestion is fine. I'm basically trying to get my iracing game playing better...it's not very graphically or processor intensive, but it's more than my poor geforce 210 can handle on anything but low, lol. My two monitors only have dvi and vga input, hence why I need a card that can support that.

Any suggestions for someone that has been out of the game like me would be appreciated. The processor on my pc is a crappy athlon x2 4000+, but I'm upgrading that to a 6000+ (which should help a little). If I was playing anything more than iracing I'd probably buy a new pc, but I think a new video card would totally fix my lack of iracing detail. Thanks!

Even 6 years ago just about every non-low end card took up two slots.

I think the best card that fits what you want is an HD7750. I think this one may be the best one that is a single slot. The better ones are all double slot.

The top one is GDDR3 (Lot Slower) but has VGA and DVI. The bottom one has GDD5 (LOT faster), but has HDMI/DVI (They are shared), and a display port.

It also requires no additional power. So it should run quiet and cool assuming the case has half decent cooling. And should be plenty for that machine.

Thanks for the suggestions, my research tonight also had suggested that the 7750 was my best bet probably. Looking forward to getting out of the stone age of video cards. :)
