Hello, All:
I have a PC running WinXP SP2 with a P-III/1000 on an Asus CUV4X-VM motherboard, 768 MB RAM, LG 18x GSAH22N-BK DVD player, and a generic 16MB MX-400 4x AGP video card. The PC is used for internet and word processing.
I purchased the Sonic CinePlayer DVD decoder to watch DVD movies on WMP-11. The picture quality is fine, but the playback is choppy.
1. If I get a new video card with a faster VPU and more memory, will that resolve the choppy playback?
2. If so, how much more memory?
3. Might the on-board video actually work better than the current video card?
4. The AGP slot is a 2x/4x, will a 4x/8x card work in it?
5. Recommendations less than $100?
Cheers,
Peter
