Need new tires? whats the difference?

I have a mitsubishi eclipse GT 2000.

Current Tires: Goodyear Eagle RSA P215/50R17.
Cost of new ones 180 bux a piece.

Different Brand : Cooper Tire P215/50R17
Cost of these 131 bux a piece.

Any reason why I should stick w/ the goodyears instead of cooper?

I have no clue about cars.

Goodyear RSA are sucky, avoid them. The yoko's that murphy55d are recommending are a good choice.

Also good: Dunlop SP5000. Michelin Pilot Sport
 
i was also looking for tires for my 01 eclipse gt. found some 17" 215/50WR17 sumitomo HTR+ all seasons for 76 each on tirerack. seemed to have pretty good reviews, anyone have any opinions?
