I've had a Creative I-Trigue 3300 for the past 9 years, love it. The sub has the inputs for the satellites, and the left output seems to not work. The satellites all work fine.

My friend had this issue 7 years ago, they swapped his sub. Is there something obvious I could fix? I haven't torn it apart yet.

If I could save myself the hassle of looking for new speakers, i'd be happy, haha.

EDIT :

I might just buy this and be done with it :

I've got similar issues with my old computer speakers (Yamaha MST 50), bought them back around 98 or 99, and one of the otuputs on the back of the sub to plug into a speaker doesn't work very well ... can fiddle with the cable, and sometimes it kinda works, but usually not.

I've just got it hooked up to a secondary machine that sees very little use now (got a stereo reciever and my old stereo speakers on my main PC.)

I'd say you can probably take apart the sub and you may find something shorting near where the speaker plugs in, or you may find something not making a good contact.... if that's the case ... time to practice soldering :)

Otherwise unfortunatly, it's probably time for new speakers ...

I am going to rip it apart this weekend ... I've got some Z-2300's coming in (snagged em for $99 off ebay), should be solid replacements for the next 10 years as well I hope :).
