hi,

i recently upgraded my system to a a64 3200+ on an asus a8n-sli deluxe, i got an 6600 gt, 2 harddiscs and dvd-rom and ram.
i currently use my old 300w psu so think i will upgrade the psu aswell since i plan to overclock..

and i should mention that i am looking for a QUIET sollution. My psu isnt that loud but its the loudest part of my pc since i use only 3 120mm fans reduced to 900rpm's and you dont hear them. but i hear the psu so the new 1 shouldnt be that loud. also more power would be nice ?

any suggestions?

I bought a cheap Thermaltake 420W for ~$34 at newegg.com a friends comp to replace his a crappy 350W generic in a P4 2.8C/AIW9800PRO rig and its been working fine for him. If you want the best price/performance PSU this is it for under $40 and should work fine for your rig. If you want something more future proof then I recommend a Fortron 530W for ~$75 (it has adjustable pots).

i want it as silent as possible and min 400 watts. i pay in ? here =) but anything below 100 would be ok for me if it meets my requirements.
anybody here testet a Noiseblocker Fortron Blue Storm 400W?

thanx in adwance

Some of the quietest PSUs to my knowledge are Seasonics (they also have high 80% efficiency). Remember that wattage itself doesn't mean much. You'll be fine with their Super Silencer 350W, which still has a good 19A on the +12V rail. The 400W variant gives you only 3 more amps there. Also consider the Enermax Noisetakers and some Fortrons.

The Fortron in my sig was about $79 (it may be $89 on newegg now though). It has fully sleaved cables, looks nice, 1x120mm fan, very stable, has dual 12v rails (30a combined), and is quiet. It's probably the same as the 400w version, just beefier.

I cant hear it over my quiet Zalman if that helps you, and it also has the Noiseblocker technology in it as well.
