Need new power supply

I think my power supply is dying. I'm wondering if someone could recommend a good one. I need to power 3 hard drives, a dvd drive, a video card (FX 5900), and the motheboard itself (ECS K7S5A) which has an Athlon XP 2400. The current one I have is a Powmax 400 W. I'm looking for something that is quiet too and costs 50 dollars or less. Any suggestions?

I would actually go with the OKIA 1k.....
but if you cant find the OKIA the 2 choices above will work fine!!

Are you using sarcasm 😕 I may not be a pro on PSU's, but last I heard Okia was utter crap a little higher than the likes of Powmax and ATADC.

I don't know what happened to my post here but what you need is in my listing on For Sale/Trade. That mobo runs the CPU off the +5V rail so you need an old-style PSU with a STIFF +5V rail like the Fortron I have in my listing - click on the link in my sig. You could easily buy a new-style PSU of 550 Watts and it would crumple under that mobo.

PS: Powmax is not a brand I'd suggest, even to VinDSL... 😉 .bh.

I beg to differ. Even the low end V-Series PSUs arn't that bad. The first revsision of the Xconnect was the only bad thing in years. The X2 and X-Finity are very good.
