Need new music **HELP**

I have been reluctant to try new music out for a while but to tell the truth the new Strokes album has given me hope in today's music. What are some good rock bands out, not too hard, not too wussy? I listen to mostly punk but want something different.

i think therein lies the problem, there doesnt seem to be much out there.
the only rock album in years & years that i liked was queens of the stone age - songs for the deaf.

Strokes are a local band for me. I am from NYC 😛 Besides, I support all our local punk bands already but sometimes I want more than punk.

Concrete Blonde still rocks -- Group Therapy was quite good. If you've never heard them, or only heard their softer songs that get airplay, you should try the old albums too especially Bloodletting, Free, and Mexican Moon.

Hanson isnt too hard. Backstreet might be a little edgy for your tastes, but have a few beers first and you might find they fit you perfectly
