Need new monitor

Well anyone who has read "ack my monitor just went fubar thread" knows I'm in the market for a new monitor. I'm thinking of switching to LCD. What's the best place to buy one? I'm looking to spend between 500-1000 on it. I don't want one immensely large since I have to carry done four stories of stairs every time I move in/out of my dorm (part of the reason I want LCD). So recommendations on Monitor and place to buy?
 
Dell 2001FP. I don't think there is any competition in the price range. This unit is currently $629 + shipping and tax directly from Dell (Small Business, I think).

Lots of people recommend the Dell 2001fp or the Viewsonic 201b or s, i've heard they are the same monitor. You can get a good deal on the dell if you look at fleabay. Also, look at newegg and zipzoomfly.
