I'm thinking about getting an Asus p4pe and a P4 2.0A. Or would a 1.8A be better. Probably get some XMS ram, maybe the 3200 stuff.

Not up to speed on the new granite bay boards. are they that much better? Are they able to O/C as well?

Would like to get to 2.5 or more with the chip.
 
The Granite Bay has shown to be a very speedy when OC'd...but for now I think they are Overpriced. I've read that they are mostly intended to be workstation boards and not really intended for the 'enthusiast' market.

Myself, I'm waiting to see what the SiS655 DC-DDR will offer in terms of price/performance...probably early Spring, and then decide between a 845PE or SiS655 based system.
 
2.0a B0 stepping wasnt a very good overclocker
perhaps if you manage to get a C1 it will be better...

best right now would be 1.8a (B0 is ok...C1 would bemuch better) or 2.26b or 2.4b for overclocking puposes
