Do you do significant duplex printing (e.g. .PDF manuals)? If not, you may be interested in the HP OfficeJet Pro K5400 series. It is bit and noisy and has huge ink tanks available (88 XL series) and prints well other than for duplexing. Prices have been amazing for such large units. You can get the base model new for under $100. the tn version refurb for very low and the dtn from $140. Refillable clone tanks and continuous ink systems are available for it. If duplexing is important for you, then I recommend a Canon general purpose printers (ip 4500 or earlier). The flip the stack method of duplexing is much faster and Canon's paper feeding is much more reliable than HP's.
. I mistakenly bought the duplexing accy. for my K5400 and it's almost useless for my purposes, both too slow and the paper feeding is iffy. I couldn't even do a 7 sheet duplex job w/o getting an extra sheet of paper pulled into the mix throwing everything off.
