I want to replace the OEM one with a more efficent heat sink and fan.

Which one is good? I plan on overclocking it a bit even though its a Palomino.

Im looking for something maybe under 20 dollars.

And where can I buy it?

Thanks, I think I might get the Volcano 9. That seems to have the most airflow.

Loudness doesnt even matter now, this comp is so loud from the Hard drivers, the other fans.

Do a search. I think you will find that Thermaltake is not all that popular around here. ThermalRight is mo betta.

don't waste your money... i doubt you'll get more then 100mhz truely stable and thats with effort. palos are truely lousy for oc in my experience. new tbred chips cost next to nothing, better to save money for that. its only worth buying a nicer heatsink if it costs less then the difference in cost of a chip as fast as the overclock.

So any cheap processor you recomend? My friend just got one of those unlocked Barton 2500+ and intend to overclock it to a 3000+ speed or something like that.

I have searched over the web and it says my motherboard with a bios flash will be able to handle a barton

I installed my Cooler Master heatsink last night, and its working GREAT with my pc overclocked to 2500+, planning on going higher within couple of more days.

the heatsink is huge tho lol. it's well worth my $29.99. temp's at 35.

well i just clocked my pc too 200mzh fbs

@ 3200+ 2.20ghz

idle's at temp 36-38

while after gaming counter strike, the temp's at 47, *note* the fan is not turned up all the way for cooling, it's not even turned up half way.
