Okay, I'm running low on space with only 1 gig left on my Seagate 120GB 7200.9 SATA 3.0

I'm confused on which harddrive I should get. I've had a few Seagate drives which have never given me a problem, as well as other Maxtor and Western Digitals that have failed on me within exceptional periods of time, and a couple of them failed within a week of receiving them.

I am thinking of getting the Seagate 7200.9 250GB SATA 3.0 for 125 although I don't really want to spend as much. If anybody has any input on anything better and less costly please provide.

Are you buying a main drive or getting a slave for storage? If you are getting just a storage drive any of the regular makers WD Maxtor etc will do fine. I have had WD for years and never had one fail, same with maxtor. Buy one thats cheap for storage I fine they all perform about the same IMHO.

Well like I said, all the top dogs I feel are the same in performance and quality. If you can get Seagate cheaper go that route same for WD and Maxtor. I feel they all make good quality products. I just recently bought another WD 80 gig SATA and it was cheap even at full price and it works fine.
