Need new Hard Drive for Toshiba Satellite 4030CDT

I have a Toshiba Satellite 4030CDT laptop that I use occasionally, just for word processing and internet access. After having problems running a Scan Disk I found out the hard drive is about to fail. This laptop was given to me used and I have a desktop that is my primary computer so I'm not looking to put a lot of money into fixing it. Anyone know where I might be able to find a new hard drive preferably smaller than 30GB (I don't really need one that big) and for less than $100? AND is it even worth putting in a new hard drive or should I look for a cheap used laptop? Any advice would be much appreciated.
