Hey all, basically I was wondering if it would be worth it to spend the extra money for a 7200 RPM drive or just get the cheaper 5400RPM? How much of a performance difference are we talking? thanks.

Not much of a difference. If the price difference is not much, you might consider the 7200RPM drive (provided it is also the same size), otherwise, you'll be fine with the 5400RPM drive.

I replaced a 150 GB 5400 in my T60 Thinkpad with a 200 GB 7200. There is a very noticeable difference in shorter boot time and performance of drive sensitive programs. Go for the gold!
