I have a Western Digital 250GB Passport portable USB hard drive.
The unit contained a 250GB Scorpio 2.5 inch SATA laptop drive. One of my roommates stepped on it.
The casing is cracked very bad. The hard drive itself works find, even the USB/SATA controler inside the unit is undamaged. I've been using it all out in the open but I've been worried about static damage so I'd like to buy a new external casing for this hard drive.
As one could guess, WDC doesn't sell there cases.
I need something that will support a 250 GB SATA 2.5 inch drive, work via USB and get its power off the USB.
Also the smaller the better. The whole reason I bought the WDC Passport was due to how small it is.
Any suggestions?
