Ok, I have literally 30 pairs of headphones, earphones, isolation canal drivers etc. My favortite cans, Sennheiser 200PX (originals from 10 years ago) have died. I normally use my MDR-v6 and MDR-v7DJ cans when the weather is much cooler as my ears tend to sweat. My Sony mdr-710lp have also managed to die when it met a turnstyle and literally ripped the cord out from the diaphram and are not repairable. I have a myriad of cans but I need something to use during fall. So, I am asking you guys for advice as to what earphones would suit me as I cant fathom the idea of testing earphones when others have used it. Yuck!

I like bass but not the bass that is used in todays "music", I mean bass like in Grand Funk Railroad - I'm your captain or the Polices - Voices inside my Head.

I like old techno/electronic like Human League, Kraftwerk, Gary Numan

I like good old rock like Boston, Allman bros., etc

Bass heavy disco/funk

I dont want isolation canal buds as I already own some Shure SE series ones and they really annoy.

I guess something like sony mdr-710lp but with more bass output.

Ive been out of the heaphone/earphone loop since I had a large supply but that is shriveling up. Price up to 135.

Thanks.

I would recommend my tripleFi 10's but they isolate. Bass sounds great on these if you get a good seal (read: comply foam tips). they have 3 drivers, one for high, mid, and low. old school electronic music like Prodigy sounds amazing. probably similar to your Shure's though.

And I have contributed nothing to this thread!

Which tips were you using on the Shure? First thing I've done with mine are switching out the foam ones for silicone. The feel is very different and IMO better.
