I just bought a new car and want to get a good car cover for it. It will be in the garage as much as possible, but it will still be outside part of the time. There is snow here so I need something that is water/snow repellent, etc. I have looked at some of the big sellers on the web for covers (autoanything, California Car cover, etc.) but these are all pretty high priced (>$150) for a cover. Are these what people are using, or are some of the cheaper ones you can get at Wal-Mart, etc, just as good? The only advantage to these that I can see is that they offer custom fit covers, and my car is kind od small and oddly shaped to use a generic one.

I had one for my 75 Duster. I bought it at Pep Boys. It wasn't the cheapest cover, but I think it was one step up. The fitted covers are really nice (designed for your car) because they have pockets for your mirrors, and since they fit so tight, they don't blow around much at all. The cover on my duster would blow around and it was stretched over the corners of the car, so I wonder if the wind would cause the cover to wear the paint off.

I guess I'll be getting an Ultraguard from autoanything.com. Looks to be a pretty good one.
