Hey guys...

Where can i find the plastic thingy so I can have my netgear MR814 router mounted on its side thereby saving precious desk space...

Right now it is sitting flat... is the plastic mounter supposed to be in the box? I searched thru all the packaging material and coulndt find one... it would have been nice if one was included.

Any advice will be appreciated.

throw the router in the basement or a closet or under your bed. No reason it should sit on your desk.

Well typically the 'mount' you are looking for involved 2 screws into the drywall and just hang it there, thats the way most small home routers/switches can be mounted i believe.

No they come with a 2 piece stand that snaps into the router itself and will support it upright, on end, on a flat surface. I think it can also be mounted on the wall.

It should have come in the box, if not you got shorted. Return/exchange it.

Thanks...

I thought it was supposed to be in the box as the stand is used in several of the product images...

God#%$% Fu&%#$ FRYS! I already mailed in the UPC for a rebate....

I'm going to try hassling Netgear customer support to see if they can get one to me...
