Need music...

Ok, I need some music from old 70's car chases. You know, with the classic 70's beat as the car is flying over the hills in San Francisco.... any help on names or shows with music like that would be helpful!

Ooooh. Good request. I've been wanting some of this stuff too. It's surprisingly hard to track down though since most of it was made by no-name, 70s studio musicians doing tv and movie soundtracks. I've ALWAYS wanted a soundtrack to some of the CHIPs chase scenes. I know some of those are a little more early 80s popish, but some of those were still pretty cool IMO.

what kinda car? My buddy has a caprice PI. They left EVERYTHING except the light bar on top. It still had the cage, the lights on the grills, and 2 megaphones. He got in trouble for the lights on the grill and removed the cage, because it was a sauna back there in the summer.

It is really funny to drive with him, since everybody moves out of the way and slows down.

By the way, I just found one on Kazaa that seems kind of like what I was thinking. It seems to be aiming at something a little different though. The file is listed under various names as 70s Porn medley/mix. There's actually different versions. But that same twangy wahwah guitar sound like in Shaft.

I got a Crown Vic 94. In my county they take everything but the spotlight and auction it off seperately. I got this car for $3,000 with 7,000 miles on it. Yes, 7,000. It turns out that it was the Fire Chief's car from a neighboring town, so it's in near perfect shape. For some reason, they wrote 100,000 miles on the windshield when they were selling it.... It's a one in a million car. Brand new tires, Cop shocks, Cop Brakes, Cop Engine. lol...yes, it's fun to see everybody slow down. I just need to get a few radios to go with my scanner, some more antennas, and a tape player to blast my chase/getaway music.... whichever fits the moment

That song, in all my years on the internet, is the ONLY song with that kind of sound to it that I have ever found. Yes, it is a good song, but it is the ONLY song.. bah!
