I need some song/album requests for the 5-6 hour long drive it's going to take my friends and I to get to Galveston for some deep sea fishing. Our music libraries are a little lacking. Any suggestions? I'm very eclectic on music choices but preferrably nothing that will put me to sleep.

OK, no Manilow...

What are you into? Can suggest the following groups based on music style:

Jazz: Yellowjackets, (like the older stuff but it's all good)
Ray Brown Red Hot Trio
John Coltrane

Rock/Classic Rock: The Beatles
Boston
Foreigner
Toto
Daughtry

That's just a start, but hope it gives you some ideas...

Mastodon - Leviathan

I'd say it's quite appropriate to listen to a Moby Dick concept album on the way to some deep sea fishing.

No idea what you and your friends are into, but some standup comedy might be a good choice. It breaks up the beat of music which can get monotonous on such a long trip. Of course, I'd prefer that as it would help me sleep - I hate car rides and long ones tend to make me sick.
