Geek does not get girl simply because he is a geek

I need it for an example in English class of how society prevents geeks from gettign girls because they do not fit into themold of a "good" guy.

'Back to the Future' 🙂
When George McFly is only able to 'get the girl' after standing up to Biff, thus negating his 'geekiness'.

American Pie - wasn't that kid who liked MILFs unable to score with any teenage girl?

But did he even try?

There's the flaw with this assignment. Geeks don't get girls not because we are geeks, but because we don't try 🙁. And then I find a perfect girl who happens to have a boyfriend. And I think the boyfriend was in my dream last night, but not in person... name on a list or something.

I GOT IT !!!

"Not another teen movie!" That geek guy had to compete with the rich and handsome what's-his-name, who finally got the girl!

Not exactly a great film, but spider-man?

but spidey does get the girl eventually.

yeah, but peter parker doesn't.

Is this a good time to point out that they're the same person?😛

Might as well say superman where Lois rejects him as Clark, but falls for Superman.

Bad assignment. In the movies, girls always end up with the geek in the end. Either because he becomes less of a geek, or because they see into his soul. Plenty of movies where the geek doesn't get the girl until the end though. I'll keep thinking on it.

not to mary jane. spider-man is the "stud", while parker plays the part of the "best guy friend".

In Pretty In Pink the geeky friend wanted to get with Molly Ringwald's character but didn't because she chose the rich guy.

: ) Amanda

Since someone mentioned Molly Rigwald, how about "Sixteen Candles". Michael Anthony Hall's a geek but he still tries to get the girl.
