Need mouse and keyboard reccomendation for HTPC

Currently atm, Im using a logitech M205 and MX700 keyboard. However the range is sorely limited to about ~2.5m. Once I reach 2.5m, the mouse needs to be on the same horizontal plane as the receiver or else the receiver doesn't pick up the mouse at all. Not so much for my 9 year old MX700 keyboard but has alot of lag. So my current setup is very restrictive, and I want to get rid of this.

I need something that would provide me 4+m range but dont have much experience with range/quality of various range. Also what works better? bluetooth or RF? Was also thinking about the logitech MX air and Gyration Air mouse but looks too gimmicky. Budget is around under the 200 mark.

Any input/experiences would be great!

Get a nice Bluetooth setup. Under best possible conditions you can get 30 feet out of bluetooth.
