Hey everyone, i have a ASUS A7V133 with the 1005A bios installed. I have a 1.33ghz T-Bird
at 1.46ghz right now. I have an Alpha PAL8045 heat sink. I am trying to get my proc to
1.53ghz!!!!! I have my CPU voltages toped out at 1.85!! I need to get my voltages up
just a little bit more so I can be stable at 1.53ghz! Prime95 crashes after a short while (Windows & 3DMark 2001SE
both work fine) My temps are still pretty good (around 49c) I just need a little bit more voltage!
Is there some way to get it up to 1.9volts? Would an updated bios give me higher voltage options?
I thought I read that there was an unmarked dip switch on newer ASUS motherboards that can give voltages
a boost? Is there one on the A7V133???? Thanks in advance!!

i had an asus a7v (which has the same voltage regulator and requires the same mod) and after moding it i was about to reach well over 2volts although i recommend not going over 2 volts unless you wanna fry your cpu or you know what you're doin 1.95 preferably i got the schematics from some japanese site there are a couple ways to do it
here are some links:

overclockers.com
vr-zone.com

the first one is great and the second one shows how to mod for the i/o voltage which is for the mem n all (i havn't done this one but it could come in handy if you plan higher fsb oc'n)

here is another good site for asus a7v(any model) owners
a7vtroubleshooting.com
they'll give you info on which bios are the best and so forth and their forums can be helpful as well
good luck

also note that the mods required here take a steady hand and a really small good quality soldering iron (i had to buy one for the job) the area you will be working on is small and you could very easily melt things :)
have fun
