Need more thorough testing for Performance and Quality....

This is something that has plaqued me many times. I can't stand it anymore.
I can't stand the way BENCHMARKS and QUALITY tests are done :|. I see it all
the time. " We put this NEW system together and it ran great for 2-3 days non stop"
BIG DEAL

. What I WANT to see is something that tells people if there system
will last longer then 2-3 days. IE: IBM harddrives :|. Just because it lasted
for 2 or 3 days means nothing. I ask this, " How many of you run your system for
24/7 ?" This is especially the case for those of us that still use 56K right ?
Websites need to have a life term of testing the components. Instead of 2-3 days
why not LONGER ??!! I know computer hardware goes out in a few months with
new innovation BUT seriously !! Let's see some 2 months of testing on a system......
The longer the components are tested the more likely they are to fail. I have computer
components that have died within a matter of hours and then when I get a replacement
it does the same thing. The websites I check for quality assurance say "It ran great".
I am not whining.....I just would like to see some performance standards for what
people really use their systems for.
