Need more than 4 wired ports

I have a router with 4 ports but I need at least 6. I can't seem to find a router with more ports. What can I do? 😀

Buy a 5 port switch and connect it to one of your routers Ethernet ports. Make sure that either your router or the switch have "Auto MDX" ports, otherwise, you will need a crossover Ethernet cable to connect them (unless the switch has an uplink port).

Something like this (assuming that you are running 100Mbps - otherwise, you would need a cheap gigabit switch

Thanks for replying. This is the router I have Linksys BEFSR41

Will that work with the switch?

So I just connect the switch to one of the router's ports and then run from the switch to my components? :awe:
