Need more people for computer surveys!

I've set up five surveys to measure how people use computers, what hardware they use, how they browse the Internet, etc. They include questions on things like resolution and other fascinating trivia! The results are shown graphically and by percentage, with totals of people who answered each question.

The results are becoming very interesting but they only become truly meaningful if a really large number of people take part. I'd be very grateful if anyone here at Anand's can spare a few moments and help out: Surveys

If enough people take part, the surveys should provide a good current view of computer users - not average users perhaps, since most people are from techie sites, but at least the more experienced users.

It's kinda fun too! :)

(BTW, this isn't spam! It's not a commercial site. The surveys are purely out of interest. ;) )

Aghhh!! Sorry about the mangled link. I can't get used to FuseTalk! I'm a UBB person. Thanks Beast1284.

Many thanks to anyone taking part.

frizzlefry, don't worry about salary. It's kind of a rude question anyway. Just tell the survey to mind its own business and check "Prefer not to answer". ;)

Just so you realize, your answers allow for answers that are completely correct, but give the wrong results.

For example, my 1400 MHz Athlon/512 MB RAM could accurately be called:

200MHz or higher
16MB or higher

I took the computer hardware one. I never knew people ran their computers at 400MHz or more. I thought over 800MHz would win.

Yes, point taken Viper GTS, but it's difficult to phrase the options precisely without becoming too longwinded. Perhaps my construction isn't the best. If you can suggest a better way of phrasing the options, please do. I would be glad to improve future surveys.

Thanks for your help, folks! The more, the better.

Filled out all the surveys. I noticed some interesting results from the graph. Such as the fact that most people only have 10GB or above (Meaning 10-20GB) Hard Drives as their main hard drive. For main hard drive, do they mean your biggest one, or the one you use most? There are many ways to interpret it. Some people use a smaller Hard Drive for booting and a larger one for storage.

Doh! Yup, I guess that's so simple I overlooked it, Viper. I used that method for things like age groups and earnings but not for the other. I'll use that method for everything on the next surveys. ;)

Yes, I do. ;) I think it would have to mean the largest hard drive in the main machine - regardless of whether for booting or storage.

Hmmmm. I'm going to have to do a lot more refining of the questions for the next set. Too many open ends on this one.

Do I win a prize? :)

Your survey was as good as many "professional" ones I've taken. A little massaging here and there and they will be very good.

Sorry, no prize Cyberian! :D But thanks for the encouragement!

On a sidenote: I have to say the more I use FuseTalk, the more impressed I am by its speed. It leaves UBB standing!

Phew! A relief to see most people don't have a DVD drive. I thought I was the only one without!
