So I watched Knowing the other day and thought it was lots of fun... I dont care if critics say its bad or whatever, I watch movies for entertainment, not to point out flaws

I love everything related to premonitions/time travel/alternate realities etc, I even love the Final Destination movies (most hilarious deaths ever!)

So yeah, need more stuff in this genre... Movie snobs can stay out of this thread, I dont give a damn if the movie has bad acting or 50 plot holes, if its entertaining Ill watch it anyway

A couple more I already watched so you dont have to name them: Deja Vu, Premonition, Frequency, Memento... Thats all I can think of for now

I like these kinds of movies too (haven't seen Knowing, but going by your description). It doesn't exactly fit your description, but have you seen Moon? I think you'd like it.

OP, go rent Shutter Island. It was just released on DVD last week.

Have you seen Donnie Darko?

I didnt hate the movie per say, but i do hate Nick Cage as an actor. Unfortunatly he just happens to land a lot of good movies to play in.

You would probably like Paycheck if you haven't seen it already.

There's also Primer, but that movie is so screwy it is EXTREMELY hard to understand what is going on.

EDIT: Also, don't forget Minority Report.

Deja Vu : really enjoyed this one!
The Butterfly Effect : really enjoyed this one also!
The Butterfly Effect 2, 3 : enjoyed these also, but not like the first one.

Ah yes, I also like The Butterfly Effect, but fair warning, it's an incredibly dark movie.

Also, here's another for the list - The Mothman Prophecies.

Time Traveler's Wife was pretty good. Us guys get to process the time travel paradox while the wife/girlfriend get the love story - win win.

The Butterfly Effect is dark, but a really enjoyable film :thumbsup;

The issue for me was that I read the Time Traveler's Wife and the book was in a lot detail compared to the film, so the film was a bit of a downer for me :(, but I still enjoyed it. I imagine the film to be a lot better had I not read the book!

You don't have to be a movie snob to dislike a horrible movie.
I like plenty of movies with bad acting and plot holes.

Knowing was one of the worst movies I've seen in years. Horrible, horrible film.

Just watched Shutter Island the other night. Outstanding movie, but probably one of the most disturbing and depressing films I've seen in a very long time.

Knowing was a decent movie until the ending, a few other fixes here and there and it could have been a pretty good movie but really it was a lemon, I didn't need a critic to tell me that.

Cypher and The Thirteenth Floor. Both much better than Knowing, which was a piece of poo. I third Primer; that movie is all kinds of awesome.

Beat me to it.

Someone else beat me to Donnie Darko as well.
