Need Monitor Recommendations & Size

Well, I think the best size per value for a monitor is 24 inches. I have recently tried a 22-inch monitor and did not feel good about it. The next level up at 27 inches seemed to big. But what do you think about monitor size.

Are all monitor brands pretty much the same in quality. I think the resolution of most of the top ones is something like 1900 by 1080.

I'm look to spend between $100 and $130.
 
At that price you're limited to 1920x1080 monitor in the 24" range. You may be lucky and get a sale on 27". The size recommendation would depend on your eyesight. My preference would be 24" because, but I can see older people or someone with poor eyesight going for 27".
