I have a

Pentium 4 1.9 Ghz
Socket 478
400Mhz FSB
256K L2 cache

What is a good motherboard to pair with this processor? Also what speed RAM should I be looking at to pair with the processor? Will any modern Socket 478 board do?

Thanks.

How much are you looking to spend?.Do you want sata capibility and how many dimm slots would you want. This one i just installed in a friends computer http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130454 works great.I would just stick with the name brand boards asus, msi ,gigabyte, abit, epox seems like less headaches.pc3200 memory would work fine and its cheap pick up a 512 stick for around 40.00.Just make sure the chipset supports 400fsb as the intel Intel 848P does

P4S800DX. It will take everything and can be had as low as 55 bucks. Cheap upgrade, eh?
