Need mobo recommendation for a 9800Gx2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is my system:

Intel E6700 2.66 ghz Core2Duo CPU
nVidia 9800Gx2 GPU
ASUS P5H DW Deluxe Motherboard
Zalman ZM1000-HP 1000 wat PSU
4 GB OCZ 1066 DDR2 Ram
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Music sound card
Samsung 2693HM 26" LCD Monitor
Creative Inspire 5.1 Spealers
Logitech G5 Laser Mouse
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
Windows XP Professional

But my motherboard is just not working that well with my 9800GX2. I have heard other complaints about it - though only after serious searching. See here if interested:

What is a good nVidia motherboard to get that isn't too expensive? I won't be doing much overclocking.

750i or 780i would do good for that, if your not interested in sli, then get the 750i, if you want to get quad gpu then get the 780i.

I thought a sound card didn't take a PCI-E 16 slot?

Also, the 9800GX2 takes one slot, so you can use almost any motherboard with a PCI-E x16 slot.

I could. But I'm throwing away a perfectly good asus p5w dh deluxe because it isn't compatible. Lots of intel boards aren't working great with the 9800Gx2.

If I move to a nVidia board I might as well be capable of Quad SLI.

BTW will I have heat issues with a 780i? I only run the 3 stock fans from my Antec P180 _ a copper heat sink and thermal paste on my CPU.

I would go 790i but I can't go to DDR3 memory.
