Please forgive me for my novice question but I am seeking the advise of professionals. The following is the equipment that I have.

We are a small town on a limited budget that is playing free movies for people in the local area. What speaker system should I use to produce quality sound. Hear is the kicker. I am looking for something that is mobile and easy to assemble/disassemble as we will be moving from the indoors in the winter to an outside shelter in the summer (maybe bluetooth?). I would like to create a theatre quality sound for an outside shelter that is approximately the size of a tennis court in the summer and an indoor building that is roughly the same size in the winter.

Did I mention we are on a budget?

Thanks in advance for your help.

also define theater quality, as that and tight budget are incompatible.

something like this would work well

plus
http://www.newark.com/neutrik/na2fp...ookieCreated=true&CAWELAID=120185550001002148

but i'm guessing that's over budget.

I tried to help a fitness studio, and separately a city council with sound systems, and they both balked at the price of what they really should have and bought cheap ass shit and were never happy with it, and complained to me about it.

im thinking something like a behrunger or the monoprice version powered pa speaker

they have been tested in home theater and perform fairly well

doubt you will ever get the low tones the same as a theater with it being open area

The budget is so low that it isn't worth posting. I can guarantee your response will be something in the order of "you can't do it with that budget".

That being said, can we try to hit as many parameters as I asked for in my post and keep it as low as possible? I know it's a tall order.

Honestly, most people would be happy if I just used a cheap radio to play the sound. I am not a professional but I love good theatre sound quality and I know when it's well done. If I can give people something that is not the best quality but none the less better than nothing, the mission will be accomplished.

Again, thanks again for your advice, it is very much appreciated.

Wow! Thanks, that's a great idea. It wouldn't give me surround sound though would it. Do you think it would be loud enough to fill a room the size of a tennis court or an outdoor park shelter approximately the same size? Sound level is a big concern.

that is for each speaker, get 4 if you need to. as to surround sound, you need a processor for that, in which case you should look at passive pa speaker and a receiver.

I would just do stereo.

ok... right off the bat... if you want surround sound, you MUST give us REAL DIMENSIONS! I am not even going to attempt to guess how far you need each speaker to throw sound off "tennis court size" since that does not tell me what part of the court you are including.
