atforums.mobi is run by one of our well respected members

We've asked for a tapatalk version but the mods said that AT doesn't have the resources.

I dont care what the commercials say, you do NOT need an app for that.
The internet already had mobile solutions to mobile problems long before there were apps for that.

Also, I agree with dude. Yes there are plugins for Chrome and Firefox to disable the bar on the left, but they dont work on a mobile browser. The forums needs a user option to disable the bar that way they can read the site easily on most phones and small tablets. Would also be good on my netbook but I just installed the Chrome plugin there.

If we had a single little option to disable the sidebar, I'd be fine on my mobile device.

the bar was put in because of the ad on that side. i'm going to guess it will stay there forever, or until ads disappear.

i guess that isn't exactly right. at one point you could disable the bar, and then the ad appeared, and then that option was taken away.

I browse the site daily on my phone with no problems, the power went out at my place in the storm we had a few days ago and i managed about 50 posts that day.

Making an Anandtech app still would be cool, though, as it allows you to integrate features from the phone (like the camera or GPS) into the site.

It would making selling targeted ads easier for Anandtech, and allow us a really easy way of uploading product pictures and screen shots to the site. You know... in case one of us happens to stumble upon a iPhone 5 or Windows 8 prototype system at the bar 🙂
