need microphone for recording school lectures

Well, I just did a google search and apparently there are 10 million different mics for PC's. Well i dont have the time or money to try them all so i figure maybe someone with experience can help. I am looking for a small mic suitable for laptop use inthe classroom environment. Preferrably a directional one that will pick up the instructors voice well. Any help would be appreciated.
